Kids as young as 8 years of age are welcome to paddle, with race divisions including; Minnows (age 8-10 years in enclosed waters only), 12-and-under, 14-and-under, 16-and-under,19-and-under and young guns.

Bayside OCC have had many juniors represent our club and Australia at a national and international level in qualifying and competing in world sprint and marathon events, as well as Te Aito in Tahti and New Zealand to name a few.

Our juniors have a great bond with each other on and off the water, and it shows when it comes to race day in seeing the determination on their faces including our little minnows who are only 8-9 years old.
